Connections and characters. The MUD addresses, character names, scripts (aliases, triggers, variables, buttons), command history, logs and maps you create are stored only on your Mac, inside Veilrunner’s sandboxed container or in folders you choose.
Passwords. If you save a MUD password, it is stored only in the macOS Keychain. It is never written to Veilrunner’s files, logs, history or backups.
Backups. Back Up Everything writes a file only where you choose to save it.
Coach. Coach suggestions are produced on your Mac using Apple’s on-device models. Nothing you type into Coach is sent to us.
MUD servers. When you connect, Veilrunner sends what you type to the MUD server you chose, just as any MUD client does. Those servers are run by third parties with their own rules and privacy practices, and they may see your IP address, character name and anything you type or say there. We have no control over or access to them.
Purchases. In-app purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We don’t see your payment details. Veilrunner only checks with Apple whether the Map purchase belongs to your Apple Account.
Veilrunner is rated for adults and older teens because MUD servers contain unmoderated content created by other players. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
